Ah well, it's been some time since I last posted anything.
I noticed, that all my recent posts had been a tad bit depressing. From NS, to the typical after-school depression, maybe I ought to amp up my optimism and be happy sikit. I guess I'll revert sikit2 from the norm and talk about something that might or might not get me arrested by ISA.
The deal is, I'm a bit unhappy with the Government.
I mean, what's the deal with changing Science and Math back to BM? God knows I dont have issues with BM. It is after all, my mother tongue. Why on earth would I have a grudge againts my own damn mother tongue?
To many people, maybe I dont use BM as much, but I do use it. I dont use it much because you all dont use it that much. Bak kata pepatah:
When in Rome, do like the Romans do, la kan.
Okay, I'm not defending myself here. All Im getting to, is how the hell are Malaysians ever going to compare ourselves to other countries in the world? When first off, the Government had been going on back and forth about this measly issue for about six years now. Hmm...
What is the whole point of doing it in the first place? It is so that the younger generation can actually compete with the other established countries in the world. What, you want our students to learn it in BM, go overseas then suddenly be "Apemende lecturer aku dok kata ni? Aku tak paham weh" When they dont understand a single crap that's been taught in class.
That's woulds be so the pathetics.
Also, the Government are arguing that teaching it in BM can still produce "good" doctors/lawyers/engineers, as they had produced "good" doctors/lawyers/engineers before. Funny, when we want to reach the goddamn VISI 2020, all the Government is settling for is "good".
We should be striving for GREAT!
Heh. Ok. I'll end this post now. Because the more I'm reading this again, the more I think I sound like a mak nenek. But I will say: that I am angry that the Government seem to think the people are mindless puppets. The little cute primary school kids and the pimple prone high school teens are becoming victims over the Government's indecision.
We cannot be the country we all want Malaysia to be if this continues.
Long live Malaysia.
(fuhh.. patriotic gila)
